Hey there, Valentines!

Well, well, well. It sure has been a while since y’all have heard from us! We’ve been sitting on some news for a while and now is finally the time we get to share it. 

FIRST THINGS FIRST  An exciting update is coming to L&C by way of BONUS CONTENT. There will be TWO  unlockable scenes that you can access after playing through all four endings. You may need to download an update to your game, however, no additional purchase is required. It was a lot of fun to put the new stuff  together, including some new art and music! You’ve gotten a sneak peek if you follow us on socials (for real though, who is that mystery woman?).  The free update for L&C drops FEBRUARY 14th, so mark your calendars!

SECOND THINGS SECOND There’s one other small change with this update that has big implications. You’ll notice on the main menu (as well as on Steam and itch.io) that we’ve made an addition to the title of the game. ‘Love & Country’ will now be ‘Love & Country: The First Mission’. We’ve designated it as the first because we’re currently working on a script for what comes next. 

So a bit of backstory on this: ‘Love & Country’ was always planned to be multiple parts. We wrote The First Mission with more story in mind. Now, did we advertise this? Not at all, and that may have been a misstep. But we are first time developers, so please don’t judge us too harshly! This change to the title of the game is our way of making up for what we should have done to begin with–to make fans of the story excited for more. We are super eager for what comes next and we hope you are too!  

It’s early days in the writing process, so we haven’t set a timeline yet. If you are keen for updates though, please follow us on socials. Tumblr in particular will be the place to watch for work in progress content. If there is interest, Juliana may even do some live art sessions on Twitch!
